Dr. Nowzaradan is one of the pioneers of the minimally invasive laparoscopic technique and has published numerous scientific papers on these subjects. He is board certified by ABS (American Board of Surgery) and holds professional memberships in the following organizations:


Dr. Nowzaradan’s vast experience in weight loss management, aside from non-surgical treatment, consists of over 2000 various weight loss surgeries – some of which are the most challenging cases in the  world.

His surgical expertise has led to the care of the most challenging patients that have been featured on numerous occasions on TLC channel, Discovery Health Channel, and A&E network; Such as

Dr. Nowzaradan has performed successfully a variety of weight loss surgery; such as the lap band system – Realize Band named Lap Band, Sleeve gastricatony, Roux-en Y gastric bypass, duodenal gastric switch, and biliopancreatic diversion. 

He also specializes in revision of failed weight loss surgery such as Molina Band, vertical banded gastroplasty, and failed Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.

His commitment does not end with the weight loss surgery, it is just the beginning.
